WHAT IF I'M BEHIND ON MY PORTFOLIO?
HANDOUT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SENIORS / FALL 2007 - 2008
The following assignments need to be completed by the time you begin your SENIOR year at CHS. The assignments below are broken out by each section of your Portfolio. SECTION ONE: High School and Beyond Documents
1. You should have completed a final typed copy of the Personal Statement. If not, you will need to complete the following assignment.

2. You should have completed the Goal Setting assignments. If not, you will need to complete the following assignments.

SECTION TWO: College and Career Documents
1. You should have completed the Transcript Review assignment. If not, you will need to complete the Transcript Review, as well as, obtain a printout of your current transcript, which you can get from Ms. Treakle in the counseling office.

2. You should have completed the Career Cruising assignments. If not, you will need to complete this assignment.

3. You should have completed the Attendance Narrative assignment. If not, you will need to complete the Attendance Narrative, as well as, obtain a printout of your current attendance record, which you can get from the attendance office.

4. You should have an up-to-date Resume in your portfolio. If not, you will need to complete this assignment.
5. You should have completed the Employability Assessment assignment. If not, you will need to complete this assignment.

SECTION THREE: Academic Achievements
1. You should have at least fourteen BEST WORKS with justifications completed. Ideally, these would be from last year, but if you didn't save any work, you'll need to choose work from your current classes. You need at least one best work from each core area: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and at least one elective. If you don't have old work and/or don't have a math/science class this year, contact Ms. Morelli, CHS College and Career Counselor to discuss an acceptable alternative.

1. You'll need to complete the alternative US History Assignment/Senior Boards Observations Assignment if you did not observe at Senior Boards last spring.
