Homework Club

The time that Homework Club meets has changed for second semester. Homework Club will now meet on Wednesdays, from 2:15-3:15 p.m. beginning the week of February 4th. Students may come in and work together on their homework and get additional help from me. If I am in the classroom, students are always welcome to come in and sit in the classroom after school to complete their homework, or to use a graphing calculator. Wednesdays are the days that I set aside specifically to give students additional assistance.

Calculator Usage

Algebra 1/2 students need to have access to a Scientific calculator to complete their homework. I have a classroom set of calculators that may be used during class, but I am unable to check them out to students. Algebra 3/4 students are learning how to use graphing calculators. Having access to a graphing calculator at home will help them to better complete their assignments. If a student is unable to gain access to a calculator at home, they will need to come in before or after school to use one of the classroom calculators to complete their assignments. If a student does plan to go into higher level math classes, I would recommend purchasing a graphing calculator if at all possible. It is nice for students to be able to have personal access to their own graphing calculator.

Announcement for both classes:
The math department has arranged after school tutoring open to all students. Every week, Monday through Thursday, there will be a math teacher in room 402 from 2:10 to 3:30. This is an excellent time to get help reviewing for tests and completing homework. Bring a friend and get additional help. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any math teacher.
