Facts about the 2008 Senior Party

What is the Senior Grad Party?

     Statistics have shown that Graduation night is one of the most dangerous evenings in a teenager’s life.  Therefore, we, as parents, are providing a chaperoned, structured, substance-free, all night party following their graduation ceremony at the Tacoma Dome on Friday, June 13, 2008.  They will be transported, by bus, to an exciting destination for an evening of food and entertainment with their classmates to create memories they can cherish for a lifetime.  The students will return to Curtis at 6:00am, Saturday, June 14, 2008.

Who Organizes this BIG event?

     This is a huge event!  Parents of Graduating Seniors (POGS), organize this party, as well as the Baccalaureate ceremony (which is held earlier in the week of graduation).  POGS has already been meeting and will have additional meetings beginning in September 2007.  We hope to get everything organized and in place by mid March.  All parents are encouraged to help with either the organization, donation of money and or items donated for the party.   We will also need volunteers to chaperone the evening itself.  Please let me know which category you fit in, to make this 2008 Senior party a huge success.  You can either email or call me at the listed info below to HELP out with this event in anyway that YOU can!!!  We really want lots of involvement and input. 

Cost of the Senior Party?

     The fee for the party has grown tremendously in the last few years.  The Class of 2008 has minimal $$$ saved to get this event started.  We are trying to bring the cost back down to a reasonable price. If you register and pay after March 14th the cost is $75.00.   We are looking for certain food/beverage donations and prizes to keep the cost down also, so please let me know if you are able to help with either, ASAP.
