Skills
The Life Skills Programs are
designed to meet the needs of students with moderate-to-severe disabilities
(ages 5-21). Life Skills Programs are available at the primary,
intermediate, junior high and high school levels. Areas emphasized
are daily living skills, self-help skills, functional academics,
communication skills, and social skills. Also emphasized are human
awareness, health education, computer skills, self protection, vocational
skills training, job shadowing and job planning. Students gain skills
to help them function independently to the maximum extent possible. |
