The Board of Directors approved the ratification ratification of changes in contract language in bargaining agreement
between University Place Office Professionals and University Place School District

The Board of Directors approved the salary schedules for 2005-2006 for University Place Classified Association,
University Place Education Association, and University Place Office Professionals.

The Board of Directors approved the iGrants Title V Part A Innovative Programs Grant.

The Board of Directors approved an Interdistrict Agreement for Education Services to Students with Disabilities for
the 2005/2006 school year, between Fife School District and University Place School District.

Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense
reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has been made
available to the Board.

Superintendent's Update
Patti Banks reported that the UP Administrative Team helped with a community outreach program at UP
Presbyterian to supply school supplies for those in need. Families were also provided immunizations, dental
screening, and haircuts.

Ms. Banks is attending meetings of the Capital Projects Strategic Task force initiated by the City of University
Place.

Board Response to Monitoring
Rick Maloney moved, Paul Koppe seconded, and the motion carried to approve the monitoring response on EL-3
Treatment of Parents, Students, and the Public, with the two comments.

Rick Maloney moved, and Mary Lu Dickinson seconded the motion to approve the monitoring response on EL-4
Staff Treatment. Rick Maloney amended the motion to a response of"B. In substantial compliance, with the
following exceptions."The Board discussed the options for their response. Bev Law said she thinks the district
makes every effort to hire minority administrators. Paul Koppe commented that "We still don't have the results
we're looking for."The Board talked about working with other districts, the Educational Service District, and/or
the State to find more minority candidates.
