Board President Rick Maloney called the meeting to order at 6:37 pm at Evergreen Primary School. He led the flag
salute and welcomed everyone to the meeting. (Paul Koppe arrived at 6:43 pm, and Kent Keel arrived at 6:47 pm.)
There were no additions or deletions to the agenda.
Mary Lu Dickinson said she enjoyed the Curtis High School Back to School Night. Principal David Hammond
reported they had a great turn-out of parents, with approximately 450 attendees.
David Hammond introduced Erika Koch and Alison Johnson, who have been chosen to be the student
representatives to the Board of Directors. He reviewed the girls' class schedules, offices held, and extra curricular
activities.
Paul Koppe moved, Ray Tennison seconded, and the motion carried to approve items on the consent agenda. Items

The Board of Directors approved the minutes of the regular meeting of the board held on September 27, 2006.
The Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Christina Richards, Vocational Technical Assistant at Curtis High
School, effective October 18, 2006 for the purpose of retirement.
The Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Kim Mackey, Special Services Secretary, effective October 17, 2006.
