4. How will we know our students are prepared for post high school education?

Conduct post high school studies. There are several researchers willing to collaborate with school

districts.

Parents and communities need to share with the communities.

Have students take the remedial placement tests from the colleges, perhaps as juniors

College admission GPA rating (i.e. U of W) is very useful.

Are follow-up surveys sent to alumni? (Event for alumni timed with college breaks?)

If students meet the standard they should be prepared.

If they discuss learning w/parents

Parents monitor progress, grades and class choices to ensure graduation, i.e. credits, project

Acceptance to college of choice

Improved SAT/ACT test scores

Reduce dropout rate.

"We will know they were well-prepared when they graduate from college, get a job and don't come

back to live with mom and dad."
