Communty members are welcome at district Board of Directors meetings. Meetings are scheduled for 6:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, except for July, November and December, when the 2nd meeting of the month is not held. Call the district office for the location of the meeting (566-5600). They are held either at the Educational Service Center, or at one of our district schools.

Agenda copies are available at the Educational Service Center on Mondays prior to meetings. Phone the board secretary about scheduling items on the agenda or speaking at a board meeting.

The elected five-member board adopts district policies, approves the education program and budget, adopts the strategic plan, employs and evaluates the superintendent, and employs other personnel. The board informs University Place residents of district needs, authorizes levies and bond issues to meet them, and reports on progress toward district goals.
