Ramona the Brave
Ramona is in the first grade. Mrs. Griggs, her first grade teacher, just doesn't understand. Ramona thinks seatwork is easy and tries to help out another student. After making a creative owl for parent night, Susan copies and gets her owl held up for the class to admire by Mrs. Griggs. Her parents are told about Ramona not keeping her eyes on her own paper and scrunching Susan's owl. Ramona says a bad word (not really) and complains that her parents don't love her as much as they love Beezus. In the end she triumphs over her fears and "shows her spunk".
