Ramona and Her Father
Mr. Quimby has lost his job due to cut-backs. He is home afterschool and Ramona looks forward to hanging out with her dad. Unfortunately, he is in no mood to hang out and his smoking habit increases. Ramona is now in second grade with Mrs. Rogers. School isn't so bad, but she worries about her father. Ramona and her sister, Beezus, start a campaign to get their father to stop smoking. Her mom is now sorking full-time, and has trouble making Ramona's costume for the upcoming pagent. Ramona refuses to take part in the pagent, but all is saved in the end.
