Henry Huggins
This is the story of a third grade boy named Henry, who
finds a dog that he names Ribsy. Henry has many
misadventures in the subsequent chapters. He raises
guppies,catches night crawlers, and gets out of a Christmas
pagent.When he enters Ribsy in a local dog show, He wins a
special prize. Unfortunately, the picture in the paper
brings Risby's former owner to see Henry. A friendly battle
over Risby ensues.
This is Beverly Cleary's first novel.
