Muggie Maggie
Maggie Schultz is in third grade and is not thrilled
about learning how to write cursive. She resists learning by
refusing to write her letter properly. Despite the efforts
of her parents, teacher, and principal she continues to hold
out until she realizes the benefits of being able to read
cursive. Her teacher starts using Maggie as a messenger.
Maggie has to take notes written in cursive to others around
the school and she is unable to read the messages. After
experiencing this frustration, Maggie teaches herself the
cursive alphabet and is able to finally read the notes.
