"All
about me" slideshow
- This is a
September, get-to-know-you assignment.
After letting the students explore
KidPix in the computer lab, I tell them
that they are each going to create
pages in KidPix that share about
themselves. They will use these pages
to make a slideshow to present to the
class. I usually limit this task to 3
pages: what they look like, their
family, and their interests. Each page
has text and original drawings. When
the pages are complete, I show them to
place the pages in a slideshow and we
share at the end of the week.

"I
am thankful" slideshow
- This is another
KidPix slideshow. Again the students
create a series of pages, only this
time it is about what they are thankful
for. In order to build on the previous
KidPix assignment, I have the students
add transitions, and record themselves
reading the pages for the presentation.

Personal
Timeline Presentation
- This is a
PowerPoint presentation where the
students conduct some "research" about
themselves and put it together into
personal slide shows. The students were
to use a variety of methods to
illustrate their lives and write a
brief narrative for each page. This is
a PowerPoint document: if you don't
have PowerPoint, you can download the
