• A Message from our Principal

Thanks to our dedicated staff, talented students and supportive parents, the 2013-2014 school year was another great year at CJH. This year marked the fifth year in our new facility, and we are very grateful to the University Place community for the gift of this wonderful school and for the ongoing support of public education.

Academic achievement at CJH remains our primary focus, and we are proud of the great tradition of scholarship established in University Place. We intend to carry on this tradition in the upcoming year by immersing our students in challenging coursework in Science, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Music, Physical Education, Art, Technology and Foreign Language.

Although the most important work at CJH occurs in our classrooms, our students will surely excel in clubs, sports and activities this year as they have in the past. In all of these endeavors, we expect our Curtis Cougars to demonstrate outstanding citizenship and to abide by our Cougar Code. This code requires that all members of our team demonstrate safety, respect, responsibility, cooperation and excellence every day.

All of us at CJH look forward to working with parents and community members in support of our amazing students this year. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions, concerns, suggestions or ideas
    .
