    ANNOUNCEMENTS

Last night, the Lady Viks Swim & Dive team took on their rivals from across the bridge in a non-league dual meet against the Gig Harbor Tides. Despite missing key contributors, the Lady Viks were able to battle back from a mid-meet deficit, to beat the Tides 101-84. It was by far, the most competitive meet of the season. Thank you to all those who came to support the team! We appreciate it!  Some standout performances include:

JR Emily van Zonneveld winning the 100 breast in a State qualifying time.

SR Anika Cosme crushing the 100 fly by dropping 4 seconds, qualifying for Leagues, and earning some much needed points.

SO Kate Lambert finally broke through in the 200 IM, qualifying for Districts!

FR Haley Davidson qualifying for Leagues in the 100 free.

SO Callie Gronlund scoring her first individual Varsity point by finishing 5th in the 100 breast.

    - And, a special shout-out to SR Julia Vasilyev, who wanted to pass a barrier in one of her two individual events, but swam out of her mind and did it in both! Nice job!

Next, the Lady Viks travel to Evergreen State College on Thursday to take on second-ranked Olympia at 3:30pm. Go Viks!

Last night the Viking Polo Team traveled to Bainbridge Island for a Division I League Game between two undefeated squads.  After two quarters of play, Curtis lead 5-4 but would go on a 10-0 run after half time, eventually knocking off the Spartans by a score of 15-4.  Brevin Gronlund lead the offensive attack with 6 goals and fellow senior, Jorge Melendez added 3.  The hero of the game was goal keeper, Brandon Long who recorded a career best 15 saves on 19 chances!  The Viks host the very dangerous Mercer Island Islanders on Thursday.  JV 6:30pm and Varsity 7:30pm."
