In UPSD, we believe black lives matter.  We acknowledge the long history of racism and violence against Black citizens.  We know these problems persist today and we want to work with our community to find solutions.

Education can help us understand and end racism. We commit to educating students by improving our curriculum and providing additional professional development for UPSD staff. We urge parents and community members to learn more, too.  We have collected resources about black history, anti-racism and racial equity here.
