Registration is now open to UPSD residents only for both the current and the 2024-25 school year. Non-residents may not enroll until AFTER being accepted into UPSD. For more information about the non-resident process and dates, please click this link.

PRESCHOOL:  (2024-25 Non-Special Education applications will be accepted beginning March 26, 2024 and can register AFTER being accepted into the program and paying the deposit.)

• If your student has been identified to receive Special Education services, and you want to enroll for the current school year, please continue to required documents below and complete the Online Student Pre-Registration process. 
• Non Special Education students interested in the Community Peer Preschool program must complete an application. Return completed forms to the District Office. IF you have already paid your deposit and are approved to register, please continue below.
• No out of district preschool students are accepted.

KINDERGARTEN: Students must be 5 years old on or before August 31st. UPSD does not have a test in option for younger children.

K- 12 (and Preschool accepted applicants who have paid their deposit): Resident families of University Place School District pre-register online so you can get started from the comfort of your home. This process would be very difficult to complete on a smart phone. If you do not have a computer or internet access, these are available at all schools or at the district office. 

Non-resident students must be accepted by UPSD with a completed Choice Transfer Release from your resident district before completing the online pre-registration process. Instructions and applications are available here. The first dates to turn in new 2024-25 out of district applications is March 19, 2024.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Please make sure to either upload the required documents listed below to the application, OR bring them to your home school after submitting the pre-registration application online. Your student will not be enrolled until all required documents have been received. Please contact the school for more information. Thank you

1. Proof of residency: CURRENT UTILITY BILL that clearly shows a service address from the following list: TPU, PSE, Cable/Internet only with a service address, UP Refuse, Home Phone, (no cell bills are accepted). A Purchase agreement with a closing date or current lease will work for the first 20 days until a utility bill is available. Items NOT ACCEPTED are sewer bills, any document that only shows a mail to address, TPU letter of credit or disconnect notices. Note: A McKinney Vento Questionnaire is available online within the Skyward Additional Forms area if needed.
2. Medically verified Certificate of Immunization Status Form (CIS) with immunization dates. Please read the immunization information found later in this process.
3. Student Health Record - This fillable form may be completed electronically and saved to upload later into the registration. Paper forms are also available at any school. Health forms that have been translated are available later in this process.
4. Home Language Survey (Printed later in this process.) Paper forms are also available at any school.
5. Parent/Guardian ID
6. A copy of your child's birth certificate or other alternative document.
